Towards a sense of wellbeing

Do your emotions rule your life?  Do you experience too much anxiety, sadness or anger? Would you like to be more effective at managing relationships with your spouse, your children, friends and coworkers? Or would you just like to feel more at peace with yourself? If these options appeal to you then you will be interested in the Science of Calm.

It’s not rocket science but it is neuroscience. The Science of Calm approach to physical health and emotional wellbeing is based on one simple idea: A calm brain is the foundation for a calm mind and body, which leads to a greater sense of wellbeing. The information presented in our Science of Calm seminars is based on the most recent, empirically proven research on the brain. Designed to help you to better understand the science of mental life and the very real connection between mind, brain and body, we also provide you with simple techniques you can use to lead a calmer, happier, more effective life. Science of Calm seminars demystify how your nervous system works and how knowing a few simple principles, including but not limited to mindfulness, can change your life.

  • I found the seminar to be very informative. Learning more about the science of the brain and how it affects our emotions was really enlightening. The practical ideas were so useful. Months later, I still find myself going back to the information I learned; it has changed the way in which I deal with things.

  • Daniel’s presentation to the Family Practice Residents on the Science of Calm was fantastic. He has a nice style and the content was very relevant. He uses lots of excellent examples and is able to demonstrate the concepts he is trying to impart with his very calm and thoughtful manner.

  • I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to attend your seminar and for all the valuable information. As a parent dealing with a child that suffers from anxiety, I walked away with information that I did not previously understand. Both the detail of the science delivered by Dan and then Ava’s ability to apply it to real life was like a light bulb going off in my head. It gave me insight and direction on how to better deal with situations going forward. Thanks again for sharing your expertise.
